Your Role as Lead Developer

To continue on our path, our vibrant organization is looking for an experienced Lead Developer for our Company Squad. We seek a sharp mind to drive our team that builds systems to support our clients. Someone responsible for innovative, well-constructed web solutions that stand the test of time. Someone proud to build software that is reliable, fast, and user-friendly, with a direct business impact on thousands of users per month.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and coach the Development team within the Company Squad.

• Build and maintain our stellar applications that enable employers, employees, and bicycle dealers to easily navigate the bicycle lease journey.

• Critically assess existing elements and think about potential optimizations focusing on letting our team operate more smoothly.

• Collaborate with other developers, the product manager, our QA engineer, and designer to improve our tools every Sprint & Cycle.

• Lead daily standup meetings and keep your finger on the pulse.

• Every sprint, you'll work with your squad to develop tickets based on our sprint goals. We don't do estimations but rely on everyone's intuition and expertise.

A Winning Formula?

• You have at least 5 years of experience with Laravel (or equivalent PHP framework) and Vue3 (or equivalent front-end framework). We also use MySQL, Redis (queues), and Postgres, and have some experience with these programs as well.

• You possess broad programming knowledge, are eager to learn, and are open to learning new technologies.

• Besides the technical aspect, you are someone who likes to take charge, provide direction to a small team, enjoy coaching people and keep the roadmap goals in mind.

• You have experience with Linux, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code.

• You are convinced that automated testing is part of a healthy codebase, with experience in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Github actions and Cypress.

• You are analytically strong and have an eye for detail.

• As a team player, you dare to take on individual challenges and responsibilities, and you always set the bar higher for yourself.

• You can bring fresh ideas and new tools.

• You regularly come to the office for team discussions and coordination.

• You are proficient in Dutch.
